Golden Fleece Auction

What is the Golden Fleece Auction?

Traditionally the Golden Fleece Auction is an important fund raiser for the National Jersey Wooly Rabbit Club (NJWRC) and NJWRC Breeders are donating fantastic Woolies again to this year's Annual Golden Fleece Auction. Each Jersey Wooly can be handled and its pedigree viewed just prior to the start of the auction. You can start previewing this year's selection by viewing the Rabbits up for Auction in the Golden Fleece Auction Pen below. Each Wooly will be auctioned off individually to the highest bidder. 50% of the proceeds goes the the NJWRC to help fund scholarships and other important work & the other 50% goes to the breeder.

What is the Trio Raffle?

The Trio Raffle helps the Club do even more good work. Top breeders donate rabbits (a total of three) with excellent blood lines and characteristics to be raffled off to one lucky winner.* Proceeds from the Trio Raffle help the NJWRC finance special projects and offset yearly operating expenses. View this year's Trio and find out more about the Raffle at the bottom of this page.

Sire: Julia's Rewpert (REW, 4 legs)
Dam: Julia's Scout (Sable Marten, 19 legs)
Owned & Bred by: Luke Humecky, L & J Rabbitry
Sheldon is a very typey and compact buck with a beautiful head and ear. When he is in full coat, he has nice density with little to no grooming needed. He is a very small buck, weighing only 2.1 lbs, but is very balanced and would pair well with bigger does. He has already earned 2 legs. He is proven and has produced successfully for us. His Dam, Julia's Scout, was one of my favorite producers and I rarely part from stock out of her line. His full sibling was the dam that produced the 2016 ARBA Convention BOSB winner in Youth, L & J's Rio.
Note: 100% of the proceeds of the winning bid from this GFA Donation, provided by Luke Humecky of L & J Rabbitry have been designated by the donor to go to the NJWRC Youth Memorial Scholarship Fund. Thank you, Luke, for your generosity!

She is a young, Sr. doe that has not been bred yet.

His sire is Allstar's Forty Caliber who is Bond's and Pedlar's lines. And the dam Allstar's Big Blue who is out of Erb's Barbossa, otherwise known as, Bam Bam and Hartman's Emma. We have only shown him once as a junior, and he is not proven. Sorry he is currently out of coat, but he is a short, typey buck. Also, he is out of a slow maturing line.

His sire has 5 legs and his dam has 37 legs! Oscar would be well-paired with a doe that has a nice, full HQ. His coat has great texture that drapes fabulously!

Please excuse the lack of wool cap in her picture as she’s just molted it out. Her sire, Shadow, has 13 legs, including a BIS. Her dam has earned 7 legs, including a BIS. She should be an asset to anyone’s show and breeding program.

Sire: Two Twins' Apallo (Pointed White- Black)
Dam: Backwoods Elsa (Pointed White - Black)
Owned & Bred by: Daniel Kuyoth, Two Twins' Farm
Poor little thing looks ridiculous in these pictures... Having no wool cap and lighter summer points makes this cute doe looks horrendous... Let me assure you though that she’s much cuter and attractive in person. TT156 has a nice balanced body giving her good length width and depth. A little depth over her hips wouldn’t hurt and a touch more fullness to her HQ's would be great but I'm being nitpicky. She carried a pretty head as a baby but her new "brows" distort her current look. TT156's ears are pretty good but could be more open and vertical; however, the wool and points that are developing show LOTS of promise. All in all, she's put together pretty well and could add a few great things to anyone’s Pointed program. #pointedpower

We didn’t show him a lot this spring so he stayed home and made babies! We think it’s time to offer him to someone else and give his little ones a chance!

Treble Maker Rabbitry offers to the 2017 Golden Fleece Auction TM’s Bakesale. Sired by TM’s Cash - tort (11 legs, 2016 ARBA Convention BOB) out of TM’s Muffin – blue self (6 legs). I really like this little buck! He has a very smooth body with depth and decent bone. I also am really impressed with his topline. This guy is going to need some time for his coat to mature and really shine. Both his parents have great wool so I’m confident he will, too, once he matures. To top off his cute body he is a friendly guy who is fairly easy to work with when grooming or on the show table.

Sire: Elise’s Sunny (REW)
Dam: More’s Lilith (Broken Siamese Sable)
Owned & Bred by: Gail More, More’s Rabbitry
Meet More’s Jadis. Never really showed her much. This solid doe was more useful in my breeding program. She is mostly More’s line with Moonbi, Hopewell, and some Hartman/Coy. And, can be traced back to Hartzell and Willow lines. Jadis’ sire has 13 legs. He goes back to Hartmans’ Poptart, Coy’s Runaway, and More’s Moonbeam, aka, “Hex” that Elise Silipini shows as Youth. Jadis’ dam is out of More’s Justice who has at least 17 legs and was 1st place Jr buck at the ARBA Convention in Harrisburg and can be traced back to Brian Hartzell’s lines. Her last litter was in July but she only had 2 peanuts so she is hot to trot for a boyfriend.

His sire is "Fuzzyville's Bruiser," a Broken Chestnut buck and his dam is "WCW/Vara's Zayla" a solid Chestnut doe. This buck has incredible bone, width and depth -- Very full and solid throughout with a perfect Jersey Wooly mug head. He is in a coat transition at the moment and likely will be during the Auction. Don’t let that fool you as I'm seeing gorgeous coloring coming in along with density, texture and length -- Pretty much the whole package wrapped into a nice chestnut bundle of joy!

This buck has his sire’s awesome head and ears. He has a short, deep, and solid compact body. Sadly, right now his wool is just coming back from one of the worst molts I have ever seen in my barn (it figures). When in full coat, Ripcord has great density and lovely length to his wool. At the time I write this, he has not been bred yet but will be before he leaves for Indianapolis. This is a fun buck who has a really neat temperament and likes to keep track of what is going on in the rabbitry. He is a tough one to let go!
