About the NJWRC
National Jersey Wooly Rabbit Club (NJWRC) members are some of the most helpful, friendly people you will find in the Wonderful World of Rabbits. New members quickly learn that membership in the NJWRC, is a valuable part of the Jersey Wooly experience.
Ask any NJWRC member what he/she loves most about being a member ahd you are likely to hear about the commaradarie and the fun at shows and events; however, other benefits of membership include:
Each new member receives the Jersey Wooly Guidebook (additional copies can be purchased for a nominal fee), and all members receive a copy of the clubs quarterly newsletter
publication, the Fluff, designed to keep members abreast of the latest NJWRC news and reports. The Fluff includes Board and District Director Reports, informative articles, photos, reports on club activities, show results, sweepstakes contest standings, and classified ads.
Becoming a member of the NJWRC gives you a place to turn to for assistance. The club is divided into nine regions, each region is represented by a district director. In addition to being your voice on the Board of Directors, each director can assist you in many areas of rabbit care. To determine your district, follow this link to our Directors' Page, which lists all directors by District # and includes the regions they represent as well as their contact information.
The Sweepstakes Contest is a yearly event that runs from July 1 through June 30 of the following
year. Members accumulate points as they compete in local, regional, and national
sanctioned* shows. Awards are presented to the top placing rabbits and breeders at
the ARBA National Convention each fall and top sanction rankings and awards are listed on the NJWRC Sanctions Website and printed in the NJWRC newsletter, the Fluff.
* Shows must be sanctioned by both the ARBA and the NJWRC before the show occurs. No sanctions will be issues post event. Contact our
Sweepstakes Chairperson for more information.
The NJWRC offers qualified breeders the opportunity to be included in the verified registry of Wooly breeders for a minimal charge. For information on how to become listed on the breeders' list, contact the NJWRC secretary at: NJWRCsecretary@gmail.com.
